Youth consultation with the Disability Discrimination Commissioner

Newly appointed Disability Discrimination Commissioner Alastair McEwin will be in Melbourne on 10 December. He wants to speak with young people with disability to learn more about the issues that are important to them.

“I am very keen to hear from as many people with disability as possible in my first few months in my new role. The voices and views of young people with disability are just as important as those of every other person with disability.  I am really excited to have the opportunity to meet with young Victorians with disability and I look forward to them providing me with suggestions on what I can do in my term as their Disability Discrimination Commissioner.”

If you’re a young person with disability aged between 12 – 25, please come along and get involved! the venue is wheelchair accessible and there will be live Auslan interpreting available.
