Last week, together with the Victorian College for the Deaf, we unveiled the repaired urn which forms part of the centrepiece fountain in our beautiful grounds. The urn was broken for many years so we are very grateful for the efforts of all the students and staff at the Victorian College for the Deaf for their fundraising efforts to repair the urn.
The students enjoy the beautiful grounds we share and they appreciate the history associated with the founding of the bluestone building, our organisation and the school. As Member for Prahran Sam Hibbins said to the students, “You have helped keep the grounds beautiful by fixing up the urn and the fountain. You should be incredibly proud.” DCA’s Noel Henderson added, “We want to say a big, big thank you to all the kids who helped out and to VCD’s Principal Angelique den Brinker for her support.”
