On 19 Jan, DCA Recreation attendees joined Tom from SUP4DCA and his sister Cate at Elwood Beach for a stand up paddleboarding lesson and paddle around the bay, finishing up with a sausage sizzle on the beach. Everyone had a great time learning to balance on the boards and managed to paddle well, with the occasional fall or two. Other activities run over the holiday break included a trip to Geelong Adventure Park and a day at Don Bosco Youth Centre for time on the trampolines and playing games.
DCA provides a range of fun events and activities for deaf and hard of hearing children and teens over school holiday breaks suitable for a variety of ages. Keep an eye on the DCA Recreation page for information on upcoming events and activities!
