DCA invites all interested deaf and hard of hearing young people aged 16-23 to be part of an exciting competition. What can we all do to create a more peaceful and harmonious society? Parliament House Victoria wants to hear what young people have to say and DCA wants to help you express your opinion.

If you’re interested in making a film with other young people and entering the competition, then come to DCA (597 St Kilda Rd, Melbourne) this Sunday 6th August from 12 noon-5pm. This is an event for all deaf or hard of hearing young people, whether you prefer Auslan or spoken English – everyone is welcome. It will be heaps of fun and DCA will provide the equipment and the pizza! We will be doing more than just filming – there will be discussions and activities on the day as well.Videos shared will become part of a video installation at Parliament House later this year bringing young people’s voices into the place our laws are made and key debates are held.

Visit the Peace By Piece competition page for more information. To RSVP for the filming, contact Olivia at olivia.beasley@deafchildren.org.au. We hope to see you there!
