    The Conversation has published an article on the new trend of open-plan classrooms and what it means for a child’s learning. Open-plan classrooms are spaces where several classes are taught at a time with their own teacher, but with no walls separating individual classes. A recent study on four Sydney schools suggested that most children in open-plan classrooms found the noise annoying, and 50-70% of children found it difficult to hear their teacher when other classes were doing noisy group work.
