Australian Open Event

Join us to watch and cheer on international Deaf and Hard of Hearing tennis players at the Australian Open. You’ll also get to take part in a wide variety of fun activities at the Ballpark.

When? Sunday, 28th January 2024

Meeting point? Richmond Station (Near Brunton Ave) between 9.45am and 10am

Time? 10.30am – 6.30pm

Age? 12-17 only

Cost? Free entry and lunch provided.

Activities on the day:

On Court Activation (Court 10) – 11am to 12pm. Participants will have the exciting opportunity to play on court. The court will be supervised by TA Coaches and activities will be appropriate for the standards and ages of the participants. What’s more, some of the competing players may join us, with photo opportunities, impromptu Q&A’s, and much more!

Finals Matches – 12pm onwards. Everyone is encouraged to stay and enjoy the matches, with a few lucky participants chosen to toss the coin for final matches.

BYO: Hat, Sunscreen and spare change for snacks and drinks. Bringing your own bottle of water is permitted. Please wear your Tennis/Runners if you wish to play on court.

Supervision: DCA Community Engagement workers and Child Safety officers will be present to supervise at all times.

Pick up time: 6.30pm

Pick up location: Garden Square Entrance at the Australian Open or parents/caregivers give their consent for their child to go home independently.
