DCA offers practical support to young people who would like to strengthen their independent living skills. We can work with you to establish your goals and help you achieve them. You might want to build up your skills to enable you to move out of home in the future or get your first job. You might want to learn how to budget, go shopping, attend medical appointments, or strengthen your communication skills with people you don’t know. There are many ways we can help you become more independent.
We can meet up and provide support to young people in Melbourne and some areas of regional Victoria. We can also provide assistance with some independent living skills via sophisticated new video education technology which is like a Skype upgrade.
For more information on arranging training in independent living skills for yourself, your son or your daughter, contact DCA’s National Helpline at firstname.lastname@example.org or 1800 645 916.
