On 3-6 July, The Deafhood, DCA’s first groundbreaking Youth Parliament team, attended Youth Parliament Week at Parliament House. The team spent time debating their Bills, refuting others and gaining valuable experience and connections throughout the week. Their Bill, “Public Transport Accessibility”, was successfully debated and will now be put to the Victorian Parliament for consideration. One Deafhood team member, Olivia, also received the award of Best Debater for the week out of a total of 120 participants – a fantastic achievement!
Congratulations to the Deafhood team on an amazingly successful week in Parliament – we are so excited to see what you do next!
